HOW CAN PROGRESSIVE HOMESELLERS AFFILIATED REALTORS®  LIST HOMES FOR JUST $3995 WHEN THE AVERAGE BROKER CHARGES SO MUCH MORE?
While most agents spend the majority of their time, money and effort looking for new business, our affiliated REALTORS® receive a constant flow of guaranteed business. The average agent closes six transactions per year; our affiliated REALTORS® close over ten times that amount. Because we can guarantee them a very high annual income, we are able to attract the very best at a very low cost per transaction.

HOW DOES THE PROGRESSIVE HOMESELLERS SYSTEM WORK?
Progressive Homesellers affiliated REALTORS® are experienced licensed agents at established real estate brands like Coldwell Banker and Prudential who represent home sellers for a fraction of their typical 3% listing commission. Our affiliated REALTORS® list your home, advertise it on the MLS, negotiate the contract on your behalf and handle all aspects of the transaction up through closing - all for just $3995 total. And you set the commission offered to any agent who may bring a buyer. Every REALTOR® in our network has been prescreened for knowledge and experience and must be a top producer in the top 2% of REALTORS® nationwide by experience and transaction volume.

ARE THERE ANY HIDDEN FEES?
No. You pay a flat listing fee of $3995 when your home sells. Like every seller using the MLS, you must also offer a commission of 2.5-3% to the agent  who finds a buyer.

ARE PROGRESSIVE HOMESELLERS AFFILIATED REALTOR®S LICENSED?
Yes. All REALTOR® are licensed and members of their local MLS boards.

WHO WILL MY AGENT BE?
Your REALTOR® will be an experienced top producer at a leading full service company like Coldwell Banker or Prudential. All members of our REALTOR® network have been prescreened for knowledge and experience and are in the top 2% of REALTORS® nationwide by experience and transaction volume.

WHY CAN'T I PICK MY AGENT FROM A LIST?
We don't provide a list of agents for you to choose from for the following reason: most Progressive Homesellers affiliated REALTORS® have clients who are being charged a commission of between 6% and 7% of their home's sale price. Many of these agents are understandably reluctant to directly advertise how low their rates can be.

WILL A PROGRESSIVE HOMESELLERS AFFILIATED REALTOR® HOLD MY HOUSE OPEN?
Some of the REALTOR® in our network choose to hold open houses. Some do not. Why? Open houses rarely sell a house. In fact, National Association of  REALTOR® statistics show that less than 1% of homes actually sell as a direct result of an open house. The reason is that most open houses attract either curious neighbors or individuals who are at the very earliest stages of the home buying process and haven't yet been prequalified by a lender. Most traditional real estate agents realize that open houses are ineffective but agree to hold them because they are an effective way to meet future clients.

WHAT IS THE MLS?
The multiple listing service (MLS) is the online database of all properties listed for sale by all real estate brokers. Almost all real estate sales are directly the result of exposure on the MLS. When you search for homes on any website, that information almost always came courtesy of the MLS database. The MLS is how real estate agents help their clients find the right home.

HOW DO BUYER'S AGENTS KNOW WHAT COMMISSION I'M OFFERING THEM?
The buyer’s agent commission is listed in the MLS database. Realtors are then able to decide if it's worth their time to show your house to their clients.

WHAT COMMISSION SHOULD I OFFER TO THE AGENT WHO FINDS AND REPRESENTS THE BUYER?
The typical "buyer's side" commission is 3%. 2.5% has also become a common choice in recent years. Dropping below this level, however, is not advisable, because many agents will refuse to show your home to their clients. For tips on choosing the commission, CLICK HERE.

WHAT IS A KEYBOX AND WHY DO I NEED ONE?
Almost every home on the market is outfitted with a keybox. A keybox is a secure device that contains a key to your home. The only people who are given access to this device are licensed real estate agents. To ensure security, the keybox keeps a record of which agents viewed your home and when. If you want your home available for viewings even when you aren’t home, keyboxes are a necessity.

WILL SIGNING UP THROUGH PROGRESSIVE HOMESELLERS SELL MY HOME?
Yes. If your home is in the multiple listing service and priced correctly, it will sell.

HOW DO BUYER'S AGENTS SHOW MY HOME?
An agent or a home buyer will find your home in the multiple listing service, or on a real estate website like Realtor.com. The agent will then call you to set an appointment to show your home or follow the instructions posted in your MLS listing. If you have opted for a keybox, the agent will use this device to gain entrance to your home, so you need not be present during showing.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I RECEIVE AN OFFER?
Your agent will contact you immediately when any offer is received, provide a recommendation and prepare an acceptance or counteroffer based on your wishes.
